Sioux City, Iowa — Sioux City Community School District’s North High School will celebrate Homecoming Week, September 6 through September 10.
The following events and activities are planned to celebrate homecoming week:
- Tuesday, September 6: Twin Tuesday
- Wednesday, September 7: Worst Wednesday (students dress down in pajamas or sweats) and powderpuff football game at Leeds Field at 3:30 pm
- Thursday, September 8: Country versus Frat/Sorority Day
- Friday, September 9: Class Shirts/Red, White and Blue Day. Coronation will be held at 10:40 am (North High School gym), followed by the parade along Floyd Blvd. at 1:30 pm; the parade route goes from the Floyd intersection at Jefferson St. and end at the Central St. intersection. Classes will be dismissed at 12:30 pm to allow North High School students to attend the parade.
- The football game versus Des Moines North is at 7 pm.
- Saturday, September 10: Homecoming dance from 8 pm to 11 pm
