English as a Second Language (ESL)
Unique learning programs through the Sioux City Community School District focus on developing the academic, social, emotional, and physical needs and interests of students through hands-on, engaging learning experiences. These programs are student-centered, results-driven, sometimes include community partners, and complement, but do not always replicate, learning activities in the regular school day and school year.
Programs include, but are not limited to, Advanced Placement, the Dual Language Program, English as a second language (ESL), home school, International Baccalaureate (IB), the District's five specialty elementary schools, and the talented and gifted program (TAG).
