2022 Free summer meal program for children announced

Sioux City, Iowa – The Sioux City Community School District is once again participating in the Summer Food Service Program. Meals are available Monday through Friday from May to August for all children ages 1-18 without charge. Meals will NOT be served on Friday, July 1, and Monday, July 4. Acceptance and participation requirements for the program and all activities are the same for all regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.

June Free Grab and Go Meal Program for Children – Open Sites

Each child present, ages 1-18, will receive a breakfast sack and a lunch sack to be taken off-site for consumption. All meals that are served hot must be eaten within 1 hour or placed under refrigeration and stored safely immediately.

July & August Free Meal Congregate – Open Sites:

Each child present, ages 1-18, will receive a lunch. All meals that are served hot must be consumed on-site. Adults may receive a meal at a cost of $4.50. (Exact change is requested.)
