Free reading event

Sioux City, Iowa – Preschool and elementary-aged children and their families are invited to celebrate National Reading Month with a special reading event on Saturday, March 26 from 10:30 am to noon at the Sioux City Public Library, located at 529 Pierce St. in downtown Sioux City.

Sioux City Community School District superintendent Dr. Paul Gausman and associate superintendent Dr. Kim Buryanek will be on hand to read stories, and children can explore the library with their families through a story walk experience. Crafts and activities will be available along with drinks and snacks. The Sioux City Public Schools Foundation will also give away free books to attendees while supplies last.

The event is free, and all elementary-aged children and their families are invited to attend. Pre-registration is highly encouraged.
