Sioux City, Iowa – Several Sioux City Community School District students have been selected for state music festivals.
District students in high school and middle school will be attending the Iowa High School Music Association’s 2024 All-State Music Festival, the Iowa Choral Directors Association’s OPUS Honor Choir, and the Iowa String Teachers Association’s Junior Honors Orchestra. The festivals will be held November 21-23 on the campus of Iowa State University.
Among the students selected is Allen Qasim, a senior at North High School. Qasim has been selected to the All-State Music Festival for the fourth year, putting him in the top one percent of Iowa high school musicians.
