Attention Unity Knights!!
Starting this coming Monday, 4/13, ISASP testing begins for all 3rd-5th grade students! This very important testing will continue for the next two weeks! It is VERY IMPORTANT that all 3rd-5th grade students be in school EVERYDAY for the next two weeks! It is also very important that students arrive to school on-time at 8:30 am and remain in school until the end of the day at 3:30 pm M-TH and 1:30 pm on Fridays. Please plan on having your students to school no later than 8:30 am, and please do not pick them up early during this testing window. Thank you!
Good Morning Unity Knights! This is just a reminder that there is NO SCHOOL for TK and Kindergarten students tomorrow, 3/31, due to Kindergarten Registration. Also, there will be a 2 hour early out for All Students on Wednesday, 4/1. Students will be dismissed at 1:30. There will be NO SCHOOL for ALL STUDENTS from Thursday, 4/2, through Monday, 4/6 for Spring Break! School will resume on Tuesday, 4/7!
Important Reminders! Tomorrow, 3/24, is Spring Picture Day! Spring Pictures are optional and only students whose parents have contacted the office by the end of the day today will have their pictures taken. Also, please remember to sign up for your student's Parent/Teachers Conferences at myconferencetime.com/unity. Conferences are tomorrow 3/24 from 3:40-7:40 and Thursday 3/26 from 8:00-3:15

Due to inappropriate comments on our Sign Up Genius for conference dinner, we had to take it down. We appreciate the volunteers who did sign up before the inappropriate comments began, and would still appreciate you bringing the items you signed up for. If anyone else, who didn't get a chance to sign up, is willing to donate toppings for the baked potato bar for our teachers for their conference dinner, please call the main office at 279-6839 and we will let you know what we still need. Please note: Photos are optional. If you would like your child’s picture taken, please call the school office in advance.

Good Morning Unity Knights! This is just a reminder to all our 5th grade students that will be attending East Middle School next year. EMS will be hosting a 5th Grade Transition Night tonight, 3/10, from 5-6 pm. Students and families will have the opportunity to tour the school and meet some of the teachers!

We are contemplating doing a Color Walk/Run at Unity in May of this year! We are trying to gauge if we would have enough interest among our staff, students, and families to make this event a success!
If any of you have participated in a Color Walk/Run before, you know how it works. For those of you that haven't, it basically works like this: We will have a predetermined course set up around Unity with color stations along the route. Your entrance fee will include a white T-shirt printed with "Unity Color Run 2026" on the front. As you pass each station during your Walk/Run, volunteers will douse you with a different color powder so that at the end of the run, your white T-shirt (along with your hair, skin, and anything else your are wearing) has become a kaleidoscope of colors! It is a lot of fun and a great school spirit/team building activity.
The cost per person will be determined by how many people actually participate, but we are anticipating an approximate cost of $20 per adult and $15 per student (this includes your t-shirt).
If you and your family would be interested in either participating or volunteering for an event like this, please call Unity's main office at 712-279-6839 and let us know!

Wacky Wednesday Concerts!
On Wednesday, March 4th, Unity's TK-3rd Grade Students will be holding Wacky Wednesday Concerts during the afternoon at the following times:
TK/K at 1:30
1st Grade at 2:00
2nd Grade at 2:30
3rd Grade at 3:00
Please arrive 10-15 minutes early for your student's concert so you can check in with the office and get a visitor's pass.
Please also remember to bring your driver's license if we have not yet scanned your ID in for the year. You will not allowed into the concerts without proper identification! Thank you and we hope to see you there!!

Each day brings a special theme to encourage a love of reading and school spirit. On Monday, wear your favorite hat for The Cat in the Hat. Tuesday, dress in green for Green Eggs & Ham. Wednesday is Wacky Wednesday—dress as wacky as you can! Thursday is Twin Day inspired by 1 Fish 2 Fish Red Fish Blue Fish. On Friday, get cozy for Sleep Book and wear your pajamas. We can’t wait to celebrate reading together all week long!

On Thursday, February 12th, during school hours, ALL Unity Students, TK-5th grade, have earned enough Knight Cards to participate in a 30-minute Valentine themed Dance Party!! Next week, Monday-Thursday, in the main office, there will be some Valentine themed merchandise on sale that students will be able to wear during the dance party. We will have the following items available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please bring the money to the office either before or after school to make a purchase.

Good Morning! This is just a reminder that there is NO PLAY/MUSICAL PRACTICE after school day! Please make sure that your child gets picked up promptly at 1:30. Also, there are tickets for the play/musical on sale now in the main office, $4 for Adults, $1 for Children, Age 2 and under are free.
