Does your student need bus transportation for the upcoming school year? Fill out this form: https://tinyurl.com/ycx4cxt3 Elementary and middle school students who live over two miles and high school students living over three miles from their assigned boundary school are eligible for bus transportation. Families may also request paid busing if space is available on an existing route. To request busing, please complete the Transportation Request Form. You must complete the form every year to request transportation for the upcoming school year. For enhanced safety, new technology is available on district buses which will allow you to track your student riding the bus in real-time. Students are required to scan new bus passes when entering or exiting the bus. Your student’s bus pass will be printed once we have received and approved your completed Transportation Request Form. Passes will be given to K-12 students during Back to School Night on August 20 and during laptop checkout for middle and high school students before the school year begins. Important reminder to all #SCCSD families- Beginning this coming school year, all schools will dismiss two hours early every *Friday* for staff professional development. This is in place of the previous early out on Mondays.

Iowa law requires students to have certain immunizations, vision screenings, and dental screenings before starting school in the fall. ⚠️Your student will not be able to attend school in the fall without proof of the required immunizations and screenings⚠️ Please make sure your student is up to date before the first day of school. 🚨 Attention Families 🚨 Student medication + supplies will be sent home with your child on the last day of school. If you would like to make other arrangements, please contact the school office before the last day. Unused medication that remains at school will be disposed of.

Congratulations to Leah Laird, Owen Bostinelos, Emma Bayona, and Nissi Ramos as they took home first place and $1000 scholarships at the WIT Skills Day on Friday. Noah Moreno and Tommy Hoch took home third place and $500 scholarships. Way to go North Stars!

Free ACT testing for all high school juniors will be conducted on April 9 during normal school hours. 🚫 For high school freshmen, sophomores, and seniors there is no school on April 9. 🚫 No classes will be held at the Career Academy that day.

The junior class will be taking the ACT the morning of Tuesday, April 9th. Only juniors will need to report to school that day, arriving before 7:55 (preferably 7:30 to 7:45). If a student is not on time, they will not be allowed to take the test. More information on the test and what the students need for it can be found at act.org/info-for-examinees. If your student is a freshman, sophomore, or senior, there is no school for them that day unless they signed up for the ACT at a different location.

There will be a two-hour early dismissal on Tuesday, March 26. There will be no school from Wednesday, March 27 through Monday, April 1 for spring break. School will resume on Tuesday, April 2. We will follow the 2hr early out schedules shown

The 185th Iowa National Guard Career Fair is happening April 25th starting at 9:30a. This is a great opportunity to explore different career pathways! Students who are interested should use the QR code to register.
