What a Red Ribbon Week filled with Eagles leading the charge to "Be kind to your mind and stay drug free!" So many events, drawings and connections made to why it's important to take care of personal well-being. Way to be Eagles that choose to "SOAR with" daily!
Due to the incoming weather, Harvest Festival is cancelled. Those who order pumpkins will still receive those at the end of the day on Thursday.

Hello Eagle Families. Parent/Teacher conferences are just around the corner. Please sign up for a time to meet with your student's classroom teacher, and stop in at the Scholastic Book fair!! Families can purchase books on Monday 9:00-7:40 and Tuesday 3:40-6:20. Students only may purchase during the day on Tuesday & Wednesday from 9:15-3:00. Tuesday October 24: Wear Red
5th graders will be visiting classrooms to talk about Red Ribbon Week and hand out bracelets to the students.
Random drawing of Red Ribbon Prizes will occur throughout the day.
Wednesday October 25: Don’t Sweat It, be drug free!
Wear your sweats

1st Grade learning about animal adaptations and the importance of blending in for survival with our guests from Adam's Nature Preserve.
Earlier this week our kindergarten scientists were checking out the effects of the Sun's UV rays with their magic bead bracelets and recording the changes they observed in their science journals.
Our 5th Grade Eagles have started to take the leap, leading daily morning meeting messages several days a week! Special thanks to our School Counselor, Kim Mendenhall, and our 5th Grade Team!

The EHS Homecoming Parade is set to take place on Monday, Sept. 25.
All Eagle students wishing to walk are required to have a signed permission slip on file with the office and be accompanied by an adult on the parade walk to ensure safe transition.
Required permission slips will be sent home on 9/19/23.
To join fellow Eagles and walk in the parade, park in a safe side street area and find our group lining up in the Morningside Library Parking lot. Line up begins at 6:00 p.m.
The parade will begin at 6:30 and all participants will walk down Morningside Ave., turn onto Peters Ave and end the parade when they reach Olsen Stadium at the intersection of Peters and Paxton.
You then walk back on your own to return to your vehicles.
It's been a SOARing week here at Morningside STEM. Our teachers and students are already well on their way learning together in whole and small group collaborations each day!
