Fall Fest returns to Sioux City October 14-15, 2023! With so much to do, you’ll enjoy a weekend full of fun this fall season! Spend time with friends and family and experience activities at dozens of local attractions around the community!

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 14
Fall Fest at the Sioux City Farmers Market 
8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.; Sioux City Farmers Market at the corner of Tri View Ave. and Pearl Street
FREE Family Event
Children’s (12 and Under) Costume Contest: Judging at 10:00 a.m. – $25 1st Prize, $15 2nd Prize, $10 3rd Prize
Pet Costume Contest: Judging at 10:30 a.m. – Winner to receive a tasty treat
Pumpkin Painting Booth: Buy a pumpkin at the market and paint it for free in the kid's activities area
Kids Activity Area with fun games
Kids Trick-or-Treating at vendor stations

There will be face painting and pony rides available for a small fee.

Kid’s Saturday – Celebrate Día de los Muertos

Come to LaunchPAD Children’s Museum to grab a kit to make a rock monster! Use your imagination to transform some rocks into fun or scary monsters. Children can hide their rock monster and look for other painted rocks around Siouxland. This is a FREE grab and go activity that will be available just inside our entrance doors while supplies last.

Long Lines Climbing

Climbing will be $15 for adults and $12 for youth (17 and under) with free rentals which include shoes and harness. All day event. Live music on Saturday afternoon.

American Autumn Traditions
12:00 -5:00 p.m., Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center, 900 Larsen Park Road
Join us for games, activities, and food from the times of Lewis and Clark. There will be traditional 19th century and Native American games and toys, music which was popular during the lifetimes of Lewis and Clark, warm apple cider and small samples of early 19th century cuisine. This is a family event so there will be something for everyone!
All programming at the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center and Betty Strong Encounter Center is FREE to the public.

Visit the Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center and participate in one or all of the following activities along with the other amazing events happening in Sioux City this weekend. •1:30 p.m. - Snakes Program: Come meet the Nature Center’s snakes. These educational ambassadors will help you learn about these interesting animals. 
•3:00-5:00 p.m. - Campfire Snacks & Fall Games: Stop by the amphitheater for campfire snacks including s’mores, hot cocoa, and apple cider. Challenge your friends and family in some fun fall games or get creative with some fall-inspired crafts. 
•5:00 p.m. - Fall Hike: Meet by the amphitheater for a fall hike through the trees. Find out what causes the leaves to change color and how to identify trees by their leaves. We’ll hike for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
•7:00 p.m. – Evening Hike: Meet by front doors to the Nature Center and join us for a sunset hike. Learn how to find your way around as the sun goes down. Be prepared to hike for 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Comedian Shane Gillis is taking the stage at the Orpheum Theatre! In 2021, Gillis released his debut comedy special Shane Gillis: Live in Austin on YouTube which has been viewed over 6 million times. Gillis is one-half of the comedy fan favorite Matt and Shane's Secret Podcast. He’s a regular guest on Sirius XM’s The Bonfire, Spotify's The Joe Rogan Experience, and Barstool Sports KFC Radio. Shane was a writer on Comedy Central’s Delco Proper and co-created, wrote, and starred in the YouTube hit sketch series Gilly & Keeves. In October of 2022, Shane and John McKeever partnered with Booklight Entertainment and Outback Presents to produce and release Gilly & Keeves: The Special on GillyandKeeves.tv.
