Volunteer with Every Classroom Counts

Every Classroom Counts is accepting mentors and volunteers for the 2010-2011 school year. The program is an initiative of the United Way of Siouxland in partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Siouxland and the Sioux City Community School District.

The program matches mentors with young people in grades first through fifth. Mentors in the program are encouraged to spend a half hour with their mentee’s every week reading at the mentee's school. Volunteers are also needed. Volunteers may work with students in small or large groups or assist teachers.
